Our method of using the same fixturing for different projects is called our “Plug and Play Interchangeable Fixture Design System" and eliminates difficulties encountered in overseas tooling projects.

This new design works because it allows for more than one project to function in more than one fixture. This is done by allowing enough movement in the nesting tray and mask holder to let the mask and nest match up nearly perfectly to one another.  Careful calculations determine how much movement is needed to accomplish this without causing other difficulties.  In tandem the stops, pins and bushings and fixture lift mechanism work in harmony with the floating design, thereby enhancing the fixtures interchangeable capability.  

With this design, tooling can be built in our facility in a master fixture and sent overseas where it will perform equally as well in manual or robot fixtures of this design.  Also, when repair or modification is required simply send back the nest and tooling for that project and work can be performed in master fixture while other projects are running in factory fixtures.  Please contact us for more information.
